BlueQuartz is a version of the Cobalt RaQ550 GUI Open source software released by Sun Microsystems. BlueQuartz is the ideal development and business model for today's massively crowded webserver market. BlueQuartz however still requires updates to the parts of the operating system that are modified for the GUI software, but are not something the BlueQuartz project needs to maintain updates for.

Currently there are no updates for the BlueQuartz with the CentOS 4.x operating system. This means important services like Apache, Proftp and other things can develop Security Holes that will not be closed and could present a Security Problem!

Since I have been building updates for the RaQ's for several years, I'm going to start making regular updates for those people that depend on an updated server that can be VISA/MC PCI compliant and dependable. I have also created several mirrors for the updates thus providing a faster, and more reliable network of update servers (yum repositories) .
